to read tonight —

Park at Dark

On my way home…

It’s late again. *sigh*

Thoughtlessly peddling.

A single headlight

illuminates the way.

My front tire flattens

a lonely dried leaf.

CRUNCH

I swerve to catch another one:

CRUNCH

And another one:

*peddle peddle* CRUNCH

It’s a game!

*peddle peddle* CRUNCH

*peddle peddle* SQUISH

A frog.

Noisy Nights

Swoosh! My black and white tails slices across the kitchen table

Boop-boop-boop-clang! As the cup falls off the table

Arghh!

And he thump-thump-thumps to the kitchen

A silent whoosh to the ground and a tat-ta-tat-tat as I skitter off.
